ITU EU Centre Research Office's Actions:

   The main goal of Istanbul Technical University EU Centre Research Office is to enable researchers to participate EU's research programmes and mobility programmes and to create opportunities to integrate Istanbul Technical University more to the European Research Area (ERA).

   ITU EU Centre Research Office is the Institutional Contact Point of ITU for EU Framework Programs:

    The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), operates as the National Coordinator of the 7th Framework Programme in order to enhance the competitiveness and the technological development of the country. The institution represents the network of National Contact Points, which provide guidance, advice, practical information and individual assistance on all aspects of participation in FP6 and FP7. Information transfer to different types of organization from the National Contact Points is provided by the Institutional Contact Points formed in related organizations.

         Communication between the National Coordinator, the National Contact Points, and ITU is carried by EU Centre Research Office. ITU EU Centre Research Office gives information about EU Framework Programs and other EU Programs to the academic staff either by giving seminars or workshops and works as a help desk office and gives technical guidance and information to the academic staff of ITU.
