TR-MONET project is a SSA project accepted under the 6th Framework Programme coordinated by TUBITAK in Turkey. The project started in November 2004 and ended in December 2007. The aim the project is to set up Mobility Centers in Turkey that will work in accordance with around 200 other Mobility Centers currently established in 33 European Countries. The centers will support the mobility of reseachers throughout Europe and try to create a more favourable environment for incoming and out going  researchers by providing logistic service in all matters relating to their proffesional and daily life, such as taxation and social security.

      There are six Mobility Centres in Turkey. They are METU, ITU, Bogazici University, Ege University, Gaziantep University and TUBITAK. The project's budget is 199.320 Euro.
